Thousands of dollars worth of counterfeit T-shirts was confiscated from a Brockton strip club where patrons were being offered the merchandise for $10 each or free if they paid for two lap dances.

The cache of seized shirts, designed to look like those sold by the New England Patriots, Boston Bruins and other local sports teams, totaled about $10,000, according to the Brockton Enterprise.

Authorities seized more than 400 counterfeit shirts from the Foxy Lady strip club on Friday afternoon and when they got there some dancers were wearing the shirts, trying to sell them to customers, saidCode Enforcement Officer Scott Uhlman.

The seizure is part of an ongoing investigation by Brockton police and Homeland Security.

The owner of the club said he was told by authorities not to talk about the incident, according to the Enterprise.

No arrests were reported as of Friday.
