A 40-year-old man and 41-year-old woman were charged today after the duoled a police chase from Camden to Philly Sunday morning, the district attorney's office said.

Erwin Boyd, of Jersey City, and Tikeena Isreal, of N. 18th Street in Philadelphia, were told to pull over yesterday by Camden County Police around 10:45 a.m. near the Ben Franklin Bridge.

As police approached the duo's 2011 Volkswagen, which police suspected was stolen, they took off, almost hitting an officer as the car pulled away.

After crossing the bridge, the duo raced up 676 West at speeds over 90 MPH, got off at the Benjamin Franklin Parkway, got back on 676 and then pulled off to the shoulder for the two to switch seats.

They then merged onto 76 West , where Pennsylvania State Police began its pursuit. After passing the ramp for City Line, the car made a U-turn into oncoming traffic andsped head-on toward traffic.

The car then went down the on-ramp against oncoming traffic. A state trooper then drove up the ramp and trapped the defendants car against the guardrail with his cruiser.

Israel was arrested on scene, but Boyd was caught after a brief escape on foot.

The duo was charged with aggravated assault, conspiracy, fleeing from law enforcement, possession of stolen property and DUI.
