A Salem man working for a company in charge of transporting disabled people allegedly indecently assaulted two mentally disabled women.

Robert Buckley, 64, is expected to be arraigned Tuesday in Chelsea District Court on multiple counts of indecent assault and battery on a person with an intellectual disability and one count of intimidation of a witness, according to the Suffolk district attorney’s office. He was arrested Tuesday by the state police Disabled Person Protection Unit.

Buckley worked for a private transportation company.

Authorities said he assaulted two developmentally disabled people in their 20s. Buckley regularly transported the victims.

State police said a tip called in to a hotline a few days ago led to the investigation and eventual arrest.
