DA:?Murderer put hit on wife

The 64-year-old convicted killer accused of gunning down a Jamaica Plain convenience store clerk last year allegedly tried to hire a hit man to kill witnesses to the crime, including his wife.

Edward Corliss was ordered held yesterday on $4 million bail for the four counts of witness intimidation, according to the Suffolk district attorney’s office.

While being held in state prison, Corliss befriended an inmate who was about to be released. Corliss allegedly told the inmate he wanted his wife dead and to “make it look like natural causes.”
