De-icing trains roll out

The snow mix and freezing rain expected to hit the city through tomorrow can wreak havoc on the subway. The MTA activated de-icing trains last night — special trains equipped with scrapers to
remove ice from the rails. The trains also stream de-icing fluid to melt buildup on the third rail.
