A 24-year-old man was killed at 2:30 a.m. yesterday when a drunken driver swerved off the road and onto the sidewalk, hitting him, in the Sunnyside neighborhood of Queens.

The victim was standing at the corner of Greenpoint Avenue and 46 Street, on the sidewalk, when a gray 2003 Mercury Grand Marquis tavelling westbound on Greenpoint Avenue suddenly barreled up onto the sidewalk.

The driver of the car, Avedis Sayesh, hit the man, and then plowed into multiple parked vehicles nearby, according to police.

Police responding to the 911 call found the man unconscious and unresponsive; he was rushed to Elmhurst Hospital but pronounced dead on arrival.

Sayesh, a 58-year-old Brooklyn resident, was arrested and hit with a slew of charges, including DWI, manslaughter, vehicular manslaughter and criminally negligent homicide.
