The company on Tuesday announced the opening of its first “full expression” locations in Modesto and Santa Monica and also plans to open restaurants in Whittier, Downey and Long Beach in the coming months.
It’s part of a larger plan to open about 200 new locations in California over the next several years, and more than 1,000 over the longer term.
Sizzling Donuts LLC, which is operating the Modesto restaurant, has signed an agreement to open 46 stores in the Sacramento area. Franchisee Gary Haar and business partner Steve Silverstein plan to develop ten restaurants in the Los Angeles area.
Founded in 1950, Dunkin’ Donuts has about 11,000 locations in 33 countries.
