Former Pennsylvania Gov. Ed Rendell, along with executive director Shira Goodman of CeaseFirePA, will Tuesday night hold a telephone town hall meeting to discuss gun violence prevention strategies in the state.

The call, which is open to all residents, will focus in particular on poll results and legislative efforts related to expanding the state's background check system for those who wish to purchase firearms, according to a press release.

Listeners will be given the opportunity to ask questions during the live call, slated to be held 7-8 p.m.

Those who wish to participate in the live telephone town hall can submit their phone number through this link.

They will then be contacted to join the call live.
