Elderly Brooklyn man beaten during robbery

A 74-year-old Brooklyn man was hospitalized after he was beaten and robbed on his doorstep Saturday, police said.

The victim exited the elevator in his Brownsville apartment building with four men just before 5 p.m., police said. As he walked toward his apartment, he was struck from behind and assaulted. The thieves took $150 cash, credit cards, the victim’s driver’s license and his Social Security card before fleeing.

The victim was transported to Kings County Hospital, where he remains with a broken collarbone and head injuries, police said.

The four suspects are described as black males in their late teens.

Police released a surveillance photo of two persons of interest who are wanted for questioning.
