Transit Police and Emerson College police are investigating a bizarre crime in which students were kissed by a stranger.

The incidents occurred Friday night on the Red Line and in the area of the Park Street MBTA station.

Emerson College said a student was riding the Red Line from Central Square to Park Street about 11 p.m. when the student was “involuntarily kissed by an unknown passenger.”

Two other students walking on the Common near the Park Street station on the same night said a similar incident had happened to them.

The students reported the incidents to Emerson College police about midnight Friday. Officials at the college notified Transit Police.

The college said the students were safe and they were provided with information about on- and off-campus support resources.
