An Endicott College student from New Jersey was arrested on Tuesday in connection with several recent on-campus assaults.

Dillion Destefano, 19, was charged with two counts of aggravated assault, Beverly police. He is a sophomore at the college.

Police said earlier this week that they were investigating weekend assaults on or near the campus.

A student told police he was walking along a path toward the main campus early Sunday when he was approached by two other men. After passing the men, the student said one of them punched him in the face.

About 20 minutes later, a similar incident happened, seriously injuring another student, according to the Globe. A third attack took place about 10 a.m. Sunday.

The nature of the attacks is similar to what authorities have referred to as the “knockout game,”in which a group of people pass someone on the street and as they pass, they punch the unsuspecting person in the head, knocking them out.Just last week, Philadelphia police arrested two teens for an alleged attack. In November, two teens outside of Philadelphia were also arrested for attacking a 63-year-old.
