A fire in an apartment in Taft Houses in East Harlem may have resulted in the death of a 30-year-old man.
At 4:14 a.m., police and firefighters arrived on the scene of a fire in Apartment 2E at 1385 5th Avenue.
Firefighters put out the fire, and discovered a 30-year-old man who appeared to be in cardiac arrest. He was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital and pronounced dead.
The Fire Marshall is working to determine the cause of the fire.
