FBI agents removed computers and files from a Philadelphia Sheriff's Department office Thursday morning as part of an investigation reportedly looking into where money went after properties were sold by sheriff's sale.

A Sheriff's Department spokesman told NBC10 the raid of 100 S. Broad St. is not part of a probe of the current administration, headed by Sheriff Jewell Williams, but rather of the organization as run under former sheriff John Green, who resigned in 2011 amid allegations of insider dealing.

Mayor Michael Nutter's administration filed a lawsuit against Green and a host of others in April. claiming millions of dollars from sheriff's property sales had been diverted from the city.
