FBI seeks Boston gang member wanted on drug charges

Federal authorities are searching for a convicted felon whose nickname is “Pooh” and who is wanted for various drug distribution charges.

The FBI said on Wednesday that a task force of law enforcement agencies is searching for Tyrone Shepherd, 29. He is wanted for allegedly selling and distributing crack cocaine in and around the Boston area.

Authorities said he is a member of the Magnolia Street Steelers gang and frequents the area of Magnolia Street.

A federal arrest warrant was issued for Shepherd in September. He faces federal charges including distribution of cocaine.

Authorities said that Shepherd is known by his nickname “Pooh” and has a Steelers tattoo on his right wrist.

A $5,000 reward is being offered.
