Firefighters work through night to contain Bucks County hay blaze

A multi-alarm hay fire in Quakertown, Bucks County, burned Sunday night into Monday morning before firefighters were finally able to bring it under control.

The fire started about 7:30 p.m. Sunday at a storage facilityat Tohickon and Stoneback roads, 6ABC Action News reports.

It took firefighters about 12 hours to contain the fire. An estimated 800 to 1,000 bales of hay were destroyed, according to the report.

It remains unclear what sparked the fire.
