Less than a day after the grand reopening of Jay-Z's 40/40 Club, an inspector with the city's Health Department found multiple food violations at the West 25th Street hot spot on Thursday -- and now the club is facing a possible dreaded "C" grade, according to a report in the New York Post.
A health inspector found perishable foods, such as raw chicken wings, raw shrimp and turkey burgers sitting out at warm temperatures even though the items were inside the restaurant's walk-in fridge on Thursday, the Post reported. The food was languishing at 60 degrees instead of the proper 41 degrees, according to the report.
A worker was also seen mixing salsa with his bare hands.
The club’s restaurant was immediately closed that day.
