Five people have been injured in Townsend, Del., this morning when an SUV hit a school bus at a bus stop, according to reports from 6ABC.com.

According to State Police, who had been on the scene of the accident at 8 a.m. today, the school bus came to a stop in the southbound lane of Route 13 to pick up students. The SUV then struck it from behind, reports say. Four children and one adult have been injured.

This accident happened in front of Frederick's Trailer Lodge on Route 13 at Eaton Drive.

The bus belonged to Old State Elementary School, the report said.

The five victims have been taken to area hospitals. The driver of the SUV was admitted to Christiana Hospital as a trauma code, the report said.
