Four people died in a spate of crashes on a wet and windy Thanksgiving Eve.

It started shortly before 5 p.m. when a bicyclist was struck and killed in the Maspeth section of Queens, police said. Pedro Lopez, 54, was attempting to cross Borden Avenue when a white commercial vehicle traveling north on Maurice Avenue tried to make a right-hand turn and slammed into him.

The vehicle fled the scene and police were searching for driver. Lopez was pronounced dead at Elmhurst General Hospital.

About 20 minutes later, an 88-year-old woman was crushed by a Con Ed truck on the Lower East Side as she tried to cross Avenue C near 16th Street. The truck remained at the scene.

The woman was taken to Bellevue Hospital where she was pronounced dead. Police have not yet released her identity.

Then on Staten Island, two women were struck shortly before 5:30 p.m. as they were crossing Forest Hill Road in Willowbrook. Police said a 59-year-old man was driving a 2013 Honda Odyssey southbound on Forest Hill Road when he hit into Marion Anderson, 47, and Lizette Sorrano, 59. The driver remained at the scene.

Both women were transported to Staten Island University North Hospital where they were pronounced dead.
