The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board last week handed down a $25,000 fine to Parx Casino operator Greenwood Gaming and Entertainment, Inc. for two separate violations – allowing underage gambling and entering into an undisclosed service agreement with an unlicensed contractor.

The proprietors of Parx Casino in Bensalem were fined $15,000 for allowing an 18-year-old male onto the gaming floor in July 2012 without checking his ID, according to a state Gaming Control Board release. Officials said the teen was on the casino floor for about six hours and gambled at a blackjack table.

Greenwood Gaming was slapped with a separate $10,000 fine for entering in an agreement with subsidiary corporation Greenwood Table Games Services, Inc. without properly notifying the Gaming Control Board or obtaining a license for the company.

The Board's Bureau of Investigations and Enforcement said officials uncovered the illegal service agreement when reviewing the company's audited financial report. Greenwood Gaming approved to pay the fine in a consent agreement and Greenwood Table Games Services has since been licensed as a legitimate affiliate.
