The inventors of Gore-Tex, a waterproof and breathable fabric used by runners, will be the title sponsors of this year's Philadelphia Marathon, now in its 20th year.
This year's marathon will be held the weekend of Nov. 15-17 and a Gore-Tex partnership will "bring greater consumer awareness ... for the running community," according to a news release from Mayor Michael Nutter.
