Heavy rain may snarl subway

MTA officials have been bracing for Tropical Storm Nicole since Wednesday, when they started clearing drains and making sure the system’s 700 water pumps are working in order to the kind of disastrous flooding that shut down the system in 2007

MTA officials have been bracing for Tropical Storm Nicole since Wednesday, when they started clearing drains and making sure the system’s 700 water pumps are working in order to the kind of disastrous flooding that shut down the system in 2007.
