Herman Cain, of Godfather’s Pizza and running for the GOP presidential nomination fame, spoke at the Independence Day Tea Party’s “Energy Independence Day” on Independence Mall yesterday (aka Independence Day).
Of the day itself IDTP Association President Teri Adams said, “We believe the theme of ‘energy independence and ‘drill baby drill’ is not only a timely one — as gas prices have been averaging between $3.50 and $4 a gallon for six months — but an achievement that is long overdue.”
