Tanya Singleton, cousin of murder suspect Aaron Hernandez, pleaded not guilty Monday morning on a charge of criminal contempt of court.

The Suffolk County Grand Jury indicted singleton on May 15 for allegedly refusing to testify about the Toyota 4Runner from which her cousin, Aaron Hernandez, allegedly shot and killed Daniel de Abreu and Safiro Furtado in the early morning hours of July 16, 2012.

A judge today ordered Singleton to be confined to her Bristol, Conn. home with a GPS tracking device. Singleton, who is being treated for breast cancer, is allowed to leave home for medical appointments.

Last week, Hernandez pleaded not guilty to the South End murders.

Singleton, 37, has already pleaded not guilty to charges of criminal contempt and conspiracy to commit accessory after the fact for allegedly helping Hernandez’s “right-hand man” Ernest Wallace travel to Florida after the June killing of Odin Lloyd, 27, of Dorchester. Hernandez has pleaded not guilty to both Lloyd’s murder, and the murders of de Abreu and Furtdao.

He is being held without bail in both cases.
