A hero plaque will be dedicated Wednesday at 10 a.m. in memory of fallen officer Brian "B-Lo" Lorenzo.

The ceremony will be held at the Filter Beds, adjacent to the Philadelphia Police Academy, at State Road and Pennypack Street.

In August, a 12-mile stretch of I-95 where Lorenzo and another highway patrolman died in separate incidents was renamed in their honor.

Lorenzo, a former highway patrolman, died in 2012 when a drunk driver crashed head-on into his motorcycle. He was 48.

Lorenzo's plaque will be the 277th dedicated to a fallen officer as part of the Hero Plaque Program.
