A homeless man has been charged with attempted rape after a 31-year-old woman said he sexually assaulted her at Logan Circle while she was asleep, police said.
Nico Natividad allegedly was crouched over the woman with his hands in her underwear when she awoke, police are alleging. The woman had fallen asleep in the park on Tuesday morning shortly before noon.
The two struggled but the woman was able to run away, according to police. She contacted authorities who arrested Natividad, 23, and transported him to the Special Victims Unit. The woman was treated at Saint Joe's Hospital and released.
Natividad has been charged with attempted rape, unlawful restraint, simple assault. recklessly endangering another person and indecent assault.
