Theatergoers can purchase 2-for-1 tickets to popular shows beginning Monday as part of the city's Broadway Week promotion.

The tickets can be purchased for shows Jan. 21 to Feb. 6 through NYC & Company, the city's official marketing, tourism and partnership organization.

The promotion includes some newer Broadway shows, such as the "Pippin" revival and "A Night with Janis Joplin," along with classics like "Wicked" and "The Lion King."

Officials said the promotion allows football fans the chance to experience theater during the Super Bowl.

"Okay, NFL fans, show us your plays, and we'll show you our plays," Charlotte St. Martin, executive director of The Broadway League, said in a statement.
