Police are continuing their investigations after two severely charred bodies were discovered this week in Hyde Park and Bridgewater.
In Hyde Park, neighbors told the Boston Globethat the home on Readville Street, where one body was found, was "aproblem house and a drug den where just last week police had been called to deal with an overdose."
Suffolk County District Attorney Daniel F. Conley is spearheading the investigation of the Hyde Park incident, with assistance from the Boston Police Homicide Unit.
AsMetro previously reported, alandscaping company was doing workin the area when workers discovered the smoldering body with its head and limbs missing.
One neighbor told WHDH that the incident has left the typically peaceful block on edge.
"It was a burned torso — I guess it was decapitated, no arms no legs; gruesome. It's just disheartening. It's scary, it's a quiet neighborhood; you don't want to hear about stuff like this going on in your yard, where you live. Especially with the kids running around; that's my thing, the kids. They don't need to see or hear stuff like this," Colby Stephens said.
Earlier on Wednesday, another charred body was discovered in Bridgewater. Firefighters and police were called to the woods behind Bridgewater State Hospital psychiatric facility and found a barrel with the flaming body inside, WBZ reports.
Anyone with information regarding the Bridgewater incident is urged to contact investigators at 508-947-8087.
