Ice cream truck drives into MBTA bus

Three people were taken to the hospital after an ice cream truck collided with an MBTA bus in Boston on Thursday.

Three people were injured when an ice-cream truck drove into an MBTA bus on Thursday afternoon.

According to an MBTA spokesperson, an ice cream truck driver ran a red light and hit a bus traveling on Warren Street in Boston.

The driver of the ice cream truck, a 56-year-old Roxbury man, was cited for failing to stop at a red light, according to reports.

A spokesperson with the MBTA said three people aboard the bus reported neck and back pain and were transported to Boston Medical Center.

The vehicles received minor damage in the crash.
