In turnabout, Boston police seeking vic in marathon case

In an unusual request, Boston police are seeking help in finding a victim.

The female victim was “violently knocked down” as she ran the Boston Marathon by a man who jumped over the barriers.

Police said the man ran into the crowd of runners to meet with a friend participating in the marathon.

Officers saw the incident, but were unable to assist the woman, who was helped up by other runners and continued running. Officers were unable to view her bib number.

Brendan Quinn, 20, of Medfield, will be charged with disorderly conduct and disturbing a public assembly, police said.

Police said the woman was knocked down near mile 22 on Chestnut Hill Avenue. She is between 35 and 40 years old with a slim build and dark hair.
