An infant suffered a head injury and a 25-year-old man suffered a back injury today after the SEPTA bus they were riding on was involved in a car accident, officials said.
A car crashed into the back of a Route 53 bus around 1:45 p.m. this afternoon on the 4800 block of Wayne Avenue in Germantown. The car erupted into fire after striking the bus, but the extent of the blaze was not known, SEPTA spokesman Andrew Busch said.
The 6-month-old baby suffered a "bump to the head" and the man suffered a "minor back injury" and were taken to Einstein Medical Center for treatment, Busch said.
The driver of the car did not suffer any known injuries, Busch said.
Authorities are investigating the incident.
