More than 1,500 bicycle riders will set out early Sunday morning for the 26th Annual Irish Pub Tour de Shore, a 65-mile ride through South Jersey that benefits the Irish Pub Children's Foundation.

In this largest ride yet, bicycle enthusiasts will take off from Center City's Irish Pub at 7 a.m. in hopes of raising funds for Greater Philadelphia and South Jersey-based children-oriented charities.

According to a news release, participants include NBC10's Deanna Durante, Montgomery County District Attorney Risa Ferman and U.S. Rep. Pat Meehan.

 

Last year's event raised $537,000. This year, officials hope to raise $600,000.

Traffic closings
The Benjamin Franklin Bridge will be closed to traffic from 7 to 7:45 a.m. Sunday.
Admiral Wilson Boulevard will be closed eastbound from the base of the Ben Franklin to Morgan Boulevard from 7 to 8 a.m.
