Is Beanie Sigel homeless?

South Philadelphia hip hop phenom Beanie Sigel, born Dwight Grant, once made headlines for his skyrocketing career, signing with Roc-a-Fella Records in 2002 (and 2006) and 50 Cent subsidiary G Unit Philly in 2011.

But lately, it seems the only publicity Sigel’s been getting is for his financial and legal problems – a judge in mid-July sentenced him to 24 months in jail for failing to pay taxes between 1999 and 2005.

The latest allegation comes from Grammy award-winning artist and blogger Jacky Jasper, who reported on his website, Diary of a Hollywood Street King, that the Broad Street Bully is broke – and steps away from living on the street.

In a post dated August 1, Jasper wrote:

“Here’s what a source had to say about The Broad Street Bully Beanie Sigel:

‘Beans is basically homeless, he has no money, his wife and kids had to move back to her moms crib, and he is on that syrup real bad.

‘Beanie doesn’t want the public to know how messed up he is, but dude is practically living on the street.’

Do friends and associates of Beanie Sigel say, he’s better off drying out in jail? Of course they do? Don’t believe me … Ask Young Chris.”

As a part of his sentence, Sigel, who is due to report to jail Sept. 12, has been ordered to pay the Internal Revenue Service $728,536, along with penalties and interest.
