BOSTON. It’s not easy being gold and purple in a city that’s green.

Pete Ramos, a Boston transplant from Los Angeles, has so far been enjoying the NBA Finals as he roots for his home team Lakers as they play the Celtics.

“At work [Thursday] we had a wear green day,” said the IT engineer that moved to the area for work. “I had to defy everyone and wear purple.”

Ramos welcomes the heckling. “I revel in it,” he said. “We were hoping for a Celtics rematch for the whole revenge factor. This year it’s been about redemption for the Lakers.”
