Jon Stewart loves the de Blasios, dons own Dante-esque 'fro
The Daily Show and Jon Stewart took on Tuesday's primary election, showing a lot of love for mayoral candidate Bill de Blasio's "incredibly awesome family."
Jon Stewart and "The Daily Show" took on Tuesday's preliminary election results on last night's show, and first-place Democratic mayoral candidate Bill de Blasio's charismatic and "incredibly awesome family" were shown a lot of love.
"Adopt me?" Stewart asked after showing a clip of the family's synchronized dance move, "The Smackdown," which they did at an election night party in Brooklyn after the results came in.
At one point, Stewart even donned an afro, paying tribute to Dante de Blasio's hair.
"You know, somehow after 12 years of Captain Soda Narc, I think New York City might be ready for a charismatic biracial family with their own signature synchronized dance moves, that appear to have been beamed here from their very own 1970s musical variety special," Stewart said.
"Who is better than this family? Nobody is better than this family!" he declared.
