Kung Fu flicks at Chinatown Gate

Everybody will be Kung Fu fighting at the Chinatown Gate tonight, Thursday, August 25, through the weekend (Irene pending) for a series of old-school Chinese-language action flicks.

Each summer, the vacant lot in front of the gate is turned into an outdoor style theatre and over 250 folding chairs are flipped out so people can sit and watch their favorite classic Chinese films.

This year, the movies will be action-packed Kung-Fu greats like “Way of the Dragon” starring Bruce Lee.

Hosted by “Films at the Gate,” early arrivers can enjoy live-action Kung Fu from some of the city’s best performers.

Talent from Boston will do free live performances before the screening of a classic Kung Fu flick.

Talent starts at 7:30 p.m. and the movies start at 8 p.m.
