Cops are investigating after a three-alarm fire tore through several brownstones in the Bedford-Stuyvesant section of Brooklyn early Thursday morning, leaving dozens of residents homeless.

The fire broke out shortly after 3 a.m. inside a building on Pulaski Street, according to the fire department.

No injuries were reported, and the fire was contained within two hours, NBC News reports. Fire officials said a lightning strike or faulty wiring may have sparked the blaze.

The investigation is ongoing.
