LI men die fleeing police

Two men were killed during a police pursuit Saturday morning when their getaway vehicle flipped over and careened off a shed, tree and parked car in West Babylon.

WEST BABYLON – Two men were killed during a police pursuit Saturday morning when their getaway vehicle flipped over and careened off a shed, tree and parked car in West Babylon. Suffolk County police said driver Rocco Coscia, 36, of Massapequa, and passenger Michael Griffin, 42, of Wyandanch, sped off when officers attempted a traffic stop. According to news reports, police followed standard pursuit procedure. The two men allegedly threw an object out the window as they were driving.
