A 31-year-old mail carrier was forced to duck and take cover during a gun fight in North Philadelphia Saturday afternoon, according to police.
Shots rang out around 4:30 p.m. at 6th and Turner Streets while the carrier delivered mail to homes along the 1600 block of North 6th Street, police said.
The mail person ran for cover at the start of the gun fire, which also resulted in a stray bullet breaking through a window of a neighboring home. Police said the shooters used semi-automatic handguns.
No injuries were reported.
Police said that the investigation into what started the cross fire continues.
