Transit Police arrested a 43-year-old man on the Silver Line Wednesday after he refused to pay his fare and then allegedly spit in the MBTA driver's face.
Sean Stuart, no known address, was charged with assault and battery on an MBTA employee and interfering with public transportation.
According to reports, around 10 a.m. Wednesday, at the corner of Washington Street and Mass. Avenue, Stuart became unruly after the Silver Line operator asked him to pay the $1.25 bus fare.

Stuart allegedly refused to pay and then spat on the driver.
A Boston Police officer, working nearby, detained Stuart, who was then taken into custody by Transit Police.
