It’s bad enough being the victim of a robbery, but to get bit, too? That’s when you’re having a really bad day.

Boston police are searching for a pair of men who robbed a 27-year-old woman in Charlestown Tuesday afternoon. One of the men also bit the woman on her arm during the robbery before the duo fled.

The woman told police she was walking near Green and High streets about 1 p.m. when two men approached her and asked her for a cigarette. She was about to oblige their request when one of the men snatched her cell phone, wallet and shopping bag from her hands and then bit her on her left arm.

The second man yelled “Just grab the cell phone,” before the duo fled on foot.

Police said a witness in the area tried to grab the men as they fled, but was unsuccessful.

Officers who responded said they observed bite and scratch marks on the woman’s left arm.

Police described the suspects as two white men. The biter was described as about 5 feet 5 inches tall with a thin build and was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and jeans. The other man was described as about 5 feet 5 inches tall with a thin build and dark hair. He was wearing a red hooded sweatshirt and baggy jeans.
