NEW YORK. A Chinese food deliveryman on a scooter — run over by a Brooklyn teenager allegedly texting while driving — remained in critical condition yesterday and was given a grim diagnosis for survival by police.
Tian Sheng Lin, 53, was reportedly making a left turn on Avenue P near East 17th Street when Nechama Rothberger, 19, plowed her Toyota Camry into him while distractedly making the same turn. Lin, who suffered severe head trauma, was rushed to Kings County Hospital.
Rothberger, who lives near the accident scene, was charged with reckless driving.
