A man died after being catapulted over a railing on a Bronx highway when he was hit by a car Sunday morning, police said.
Abubakar Saleh, 47, and another person exited a Toyota on the Bruckner Expressway by 138th Street after experiencing car trouble around 7 a.m.
As the two investigated what was wrong, a Honda hit the car, causing it to hit them.
Saleh was sent flying over a railing and landed on a lower roadway. Police said he was pronounced dead at the scene.
After also being hit by the Toyota, the other person was taken to Jacobi Hospital in critical condition with head trauma. Another passenger was taken to the hospital in stable condition.

The Honda's driver remained at the scene of the accident, police said, and was taken to Jacobi Hospital in stable condition with minor injuries.
The investigations ongoing, police said.
