A 30-year-old man was found unconscious inside the bathroom of a bar near Faneuil Hall just after closing time early Wednesday morning and was later pronounced dead.
Detectives are conducting a death investigation at the Bell in Hand Tavern, Boston police said.
Officers were called to the bar at 45 Union St. just before 2:30 a.m. for a report of an unconscious person. The unidentified man was found inside the bathroom and was taken to Massachusetts General Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
A woman who answered the phone at the bar Wednesday afternoon said there was no manager around.
