A man died after jumping onto subway tracks at Grand Central subway station on Monday afternoon, halting service on the 7 train line, officials said.
The man, who was not otherwise identified, jumped onto the Manhattan-bound 7 train tracks just after 1 p.m., according to fire department and Metropolitan Transportation Authority officials.
As of about 1:25 p.m., there were no 7 trains running between Times Square-42nd Street and Queensboro Plaza. The MTA suggested to use the N and Q trains as an alternative.
