A 42-year-old man was found dead in the New York by Gehry building at 8 Spruce Street in lower Manhattan, the NYPD reported.
Police responded to a 911 call at 5:45 p.m. on Wednesday to find an unidentified man unconscious and unresponsive on the floor.
The man was declared dead at the scene. The police said their investigation will continue while they waiton the Medical Examiner to determine the cause of death and whether any criminality was involved.
The man's identity is being withheld until his family can be properly notified.
The 870-foot-tall stainless steel building at 8 Spruce Street was designed by architect Frank Gehry.
According to the building's website, it is the tallest residential building in the Western Hemisphere, and Gehry's first residential building in New York City.
