A man is in critical condition after he was shot multiple times in Port Richmond this afternoon.
Police said the victim, 21, was hit by a hail of bullets on the 2200 block of East Tioga Street shortly after 3 p.m. He was shot five times – twice in left leg, once in the right leg, once in the groin and once in the buttocks, according to investigators.
The victim was rushed to Temple University Hospital, where he is currently in critical condition. Investigators did not yet recover a weapon, and there is no word on a suspect or motive.
The man is the sixth person struck down by gunfire this weekend in at least five separate shootings. Two of those shooting victims died.
