A 39-year-old man was rushed into surgery after being shot early Sunday morning in North Philadelphia.

 

Officers responded around 2:20 a.m. for a report of a person with a gun at Marston Street and Montgomery Avenue.

 

There, investigators said they found the victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to his leg and hip.

 

The man was taken to Temple University Hospital, where he was listed in stable condition.

There, police said he told officers he was in the area when an unknown black male approached him on the street and opened fire.

The victim was then sedated and rushed into the operating room.

Investigators said they couldn't obtain any further information Sunday morning.
