After striking the Mercedes, the Infinity then overturned near South Conduit Avenue and Brookville Boulevard, officials added.

Police and EMS came on the scene at around 4:15 a.m., rescuing both drivers. However, emergency workers declared the Infinity's passenger, 29-year-old man, dead at the scene.

The driver was taken into custody with charges pending, but authorities said alcohol was likely linked to the deadly accident. Police withheld names of all the persons involved.

The 18-year-old driver was taken to Franklin General Hospital in stable condition.
