A 31-year-old man was robbed at multiple gunpoint by a group of eight men in the parking lot of a Valley Stream movie theater Monday evening.
The victim was walking across the rear parking lot of Sunrise Cinemas at 750 West Sunrise Highway at around 6:45 p.m. when he was approached from behind by eight men. According to Nassau County police, seven of the eight robbers’ faces were covered with bandannas and three of them produced handguns, one pointed at each of the victim’s cheeks and the other at his face. The man was then pistol-whipped and robbed of $170 in cash before the thugs ran away.
The victim was treated for minor injuries to his face.
