A concerned citizen shot and killed two men who had just robbed a Reading convenience store Monday afternoon.
The robbery happened about 2 p.m. at Krick's Korner, 6ABC Action News reports.
Supects Williams Medina and Robert DeCarr exited the store after stealing cash, cigarettes and lottery tickets, according to the report. They pulled handguns on the concerned citizen when he confronted them in the parking lot and indicated he was calling police.
The man drew his own weapon and shot Medina and DeCarr. Both men died at the scene of gunshot wounds to the chest.
Berks County District Attorney John Adams said the shooting was justified since the duo pointed handguns at the man, who had a concealed carry permit. He will not face charges.
Police are still seeking a would-be getaway driver.
